About Conwy Valley Meats

Conwy Valley Meats was formed in 1990 by business partners Steve Williams and Gren Jones our abattoir and cutting plant is situated in Llanrwst which is in the heart of the beautiful Conwy Valley. The company started by supplying local butchers with the highest quality Welsh Lamb and Beef . Dafydd Jones joined the company in 1996.

By today the company specializes in the supply of PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) approved Welsh Lamb and Beef .The main requirements of PGI is that our animals must be-

  1. Born and reared in Wales
  2. Be fully traceable
  3. Slaughtered and processed in a HCC (Hybu Cig Cymru) Approved Abattoir/Cutting Plant

We also supply Salt Marsh Lambs and specialize in Welsh Black Cattle. All our livestock is procured within 40 miles of the abattoir in Llanrwst either from designated farms or local livestock auctions.

In the Conwy Valley we have lush pasture ideal for raising top quality beef and lamb this is why we are active and proud members who are qualified to supply the Naturally Conwy Valley Brand.
